At Rebecca Taylor Aesthetics, based in Suffolk, we carry out the latest cosmetic procedures to enhance your appearance – and give your confidence a boost along the way. However, we know things don’t always go to plan, or you might want to adjust your results afterwards. If you’ve had treatment for dermal fillers elsewhere, and want to reverse the results, then read on – we’ll share how our dissolvers could help you.

What are dermal fillers made of?

Many brands make dermal filler of hyaluronic acid. It’s a substance that naturally occurs within our bodies and helps with water retention in our tissues, keeping them moist.

What are dermal filler dissolvers made of?

They’re made of an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which breaks down hyaluronic acid. Therefore, you can only use dissolvers to reverse the effects of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers. If you’re not suitable for the treatment, then don’t worry – dermal filler results aren’t permanent, and in time, your results will fade.

Which brands of dermal filler can be dissolved?

Brands like Juvederm, Restylane and Belotero may dissolve, but it’s important to talk to an expert and arrange a consultation ahead of treatment.

Do dissolvers remove the dermal filler?

In some cases, treatment can reverse the effects, but in other cases, the results may only be partial. It really depends on the individual, and how much product you had initially.

Are Dermal Filler treatments painful?

No, most clients don’t experience any pain. That’s because we use fine needles, have training in administering the treatment (and can do so gently and sensitively), and we can use a numbing agent to keep things comfortable during the process.

What happens afterwards?

Dissolving your dermal filler involves an injectable, so many of the side effects are similar to having dermal fillers in the first place; redness, tenderness, swelling and potential bruising. We’ll go through aftercare with you in detail, so you know exactly what to expect and how to care for your skin.

What else do I need to know about Dermal Fillers?

Our treatments are led by Rebecca Taylor herself – an experienced Registered Nurse and Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber. She has the knowledge and experience to treat your concerns, and you can feel confident you’re in safe hands throughout the process.

How do I book a treatment?

Just contact our clinic here in Newmarket or book online, and we’ll take care of the rest. We look forward to seeing you soon!
