How Profhilo Works
Profhilo is an injectable. As with fillers, a form of hyaluronic acid will be injected under the skin, where it will soak up water and cause the skin above to look more youthfully plump. It increases pressure on the skin above having expanded through water absorption, and in this way pushes the skin outwards, giving it the appearance of more volume.
At the same time – and here’s the clever part – Profhilo tricks the body into thinking new skin tissue is required in the area. The body sends its equivalent of a paramedic to the affected area. Collagen production is cranked up to an increased level and the new skin tissue that is created will be firmer and more elastic as a result.
Where Profhilo Filler Treats
Profhilo works in the same facial areas traditionally treated by dermal fillers. It can push out deep creases in the lower face, such as nasolabial and marionette lines. These are the lines that stretch from the nose to the mouth, and the mouth to the chin respectively.
It can reduce the crow’s feet lines found to the side of the eyes. It can subtly alter the shape of your nose, chin and lips, not to mention provide you with a firmer, younger-looking jawline.
