Anti Wrinkle Injections

The treatment can be corrective or preventative and involves small amounts of Botox being injected into targeted muscles on the upper face to relax them. You should see visible results just a few days later, with peak results following after 2 weeks.

You can expect reduced forehead lines, frown lines, and crows feet. This smoother facial skin should make you look more rested and refreshed. The whole procedure should only take around 20 minutes at our Suffolk clinic. You’ll know what to expect before the Botox is administered as you’ll have had a face-to-face consultation with us beforehand. We will have discussed your suitability, exactly how an anti-wrinkle procedure works, and what it involves.

To be on the safe side, you can give yourself 24 hours afterwards to recover. However, realistically, apart from a little bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site, we don’t expect you to have any side effects, or need any downtime.

You should notice the first visible effects of your anti-wrinkle injections approximately 2-3 days after the treatment, with maximum results in place 12-14 days later. Your new look should last for 3-4 months before a top-up treatment at our Newmarket aesthetic clinic is necessary to maintain your new look.

When the Botox is administered we use very small needles to ensure there is minimal discomfort during the treatment. The anti-wrinkle treatment will then be administered into the targeted muscles, you’ll have discussed with the practitioner beforehand.

Having been approved by the FDA for cosmetic procedures many years ago, anti-wrinkle injections are considered a very low-risk treatment. Botox has a very good safety record. Eyebrow droop is a more serious potential side effect, but it’s incredibly rare.

You’ll be given aftercare tips on the day to reduce swelling and bruising. Additionally, you’ll be advised to avoid extreme heat and rigorous exercise for up to 48 hours afterwards. If you need to book a follow-up appointment after 2 weeks, our skin clinic let you know.

Forehead lines

These are the lines that run horizontally across the forehead. Anti-wrinkle injections can smooth them over.

Frown lines

Frown lines run vertically between the eyebrows, and up onto the forehead. Through anti-wrinkle treatment, they can be greatly reduced.

Crows feet

Also known as laughter lines, crows feet lie to the sides of the eyes. Anti-wrinkle injections can make the skin around the eyes appear smoother, and less lined.

In her capable hands, this treatment is very safe. Don’t be tempted to bypass medical regulation for a cheaper product, as this will reflect in the results you achieve.

  • Botox is predominantly used on expression lines on the upper face, such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crows feet. In addition to that, it can correct a ‘gummy smile’; a smile that displays more gum than is attractive. It can also create the Nefertiti effect on the neck; making the neck look slimmer.

  • It’s possible you’ll experience bruising, redness, swelling, or even itchiness at the injection site. Headaches, dizziness, and fatigue may also occur. Serious side effects are very rare, and any mild effects usually subside after a couple of days.

  • You should notice a change in your appearance after just 2-3 days, but optimal results take a little longer. You can expect to look fully rejuvenated after 2 weeks. At this point, we’ll arrange a follow-up appointment to check you’re happy with the results.
