Permanently reduce unwanted hair growth

Rebecca Taylor Aesthetics in Suffolk, are proud to offer our Laser Hair Removal treatment – a highly popular and effective solution for removing unwanted body hair. Hair Removal treatment has become particularly fashionable in recent years because it can be applied to all skin types and tones and is virtually pain-free!

Laser Hair Removal works by permanently reducing the growth of hair follicles so that you may enjoy smooth, hair-free skin. Pigments in the hair absorb the pulsed laser light emitted by our laser technology, and conduct it down to their roots, where it then destroys the follicle, lessening its chances of growing back.

Our Laser Hair Removal treatment is implemented using the Venus Velocity Hair Removal System. Our handheld device uses cooling technology, which continually soothes your skin throughout your treatment, and ensures that your experience is one of the utmost comfort.

Our laser technology is highly precise, and able to remove hair from virtually anywhere on the body. The legs, underarms, bikini line, arms, face, back, chest and buttocks, are just some of the areas that we can help you treat. Click here to learn more about pricing for different areas of the body

Frequently Asked Questions

How does laser hair removal work?

Using laser technology, one of our certified clinicians will emit concentrated bursts of light energy onto the area to be treated. The melanin in your hair will absorb this light before it travels through to the hair follicle root, which is then heated to a temperature it cannot withstand. The bulb is then destroyed and the chances of it producing another hair are greatly lessened. This process is known as photothermolysis.

Can hairs be removed from anywhere on my body?

Our laser technology is extremely precise, so as long as the hair in the area to be treated has enough pigment to attract the light of the laser, it can be removed! Some example areas for treatment might be the legs, underarms, hands, feet, bikini line, arms, face, neck, back, chest, and buttocks.

Is laser hair removal suitable for darker skin?

Yes! As long as the hairs are dark enough to attract the light of the laser, hair removal is suitable for skin of any colour.

Can men have laser hair removal?

Of course! As long the hair to be removed has enough pigment to attract the light of the laser, it can be treated – so men are in no way excluded!

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Laser hair removal only works on actively growing hairs, so repeat treatments are usually necessary to treat all the hairs in your treatment area during their growth cycle. Whilst some follicles may respond very well to treatment and never produce another hair again, others may require top-up treatments once every 6 months to a year. Results will depend on hair type and colour, but permanent hair reduction is achievable!

How many treatments will I need?

Your treatment journey will be determined by the colour, thickness, density, and growth cycle of your hair, and durations vary between clients. We typically recommend a course of 6-8 treatments to ensure that we can treat all of the hairs in your target area at various stages of the growth cycle.

Is laser hair removal expensive?

When compared to a lifetime of shaving or waxing, laser hair removal treatment is both great value and a real time-saver!

 Is laser hair removal safe?

Yes, laser hair removal is completely safe. Whilst the hair follicle is targeted, the surrounding skin remains completely unharmed. You may experience some redness of the skin within the 24 hours after treatment, but this is completely harmless.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Laser hair removal is gentle and virtually pain-free. At Rebecca Taylor Aesthetics we use the Venus Velocity hair removal system, which utilises cooling technology during treatment to soothe your skin and ensure that discomfort is kept to a minimum. You may feel a sensation that has been likened to the flick of an elastic band, but this should not be painful and is actually a sign that the treatment is working!

Will hair removal treatment make my skin sore?

Your skin may be a little red in the 24 hours after treatment, but the hair removal procedure will never harm your skin.

Can I shave or wax during my treatments?

Actually, we will encourage you to shave the treatment area while you are on your treatment journey with us! Shaving the hairs a day or so before treatment will ensure a large portion of them are in the growth phase. Waxing is not recommended, however, as it removes the hair follicle from the skin meaning the laser light will not be able to treat it.
