Brighter, healthier skin

Skin peels, or chemical peels, are a widely used cosmetic skin treatment. At Rebecca Taylor Aesthetics in Suffolk, we focus on bespoke peeling as opposed to the “one size fits all” approach. Our skin remodelling and rejuvenation peels contain a patented solution which is proven to have an increased absorption rate of up to 300%, delivering significant skin surface results before deeper remodelling is initiated in the skin. All of our peels are medical grade.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do chemical peels treat?

Your chemical peel will depend on your skin’s needs, so each bespoke skin peel treats a different skin condition. Our range of skin peels are capable of treating acne, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, ageing skin, excessive oil production, tired and dull skin.

How many skin peels will I need?

We’d typically recommend a full course of 4-6 skin peels at the appropriate intervals to truly remodel your skin. You will notice the peels working after you heal from your first treatment, but a full course will encourage your skin to regenerate and remodel itself from the inside-out.

What will my skin feel like after a skin peel?

Your skin may feel tingly, tight, and a little itchy after a peel. This tightness will turn into dry and peeling skin around 2 days after treatment, which is an indication that the treatment is working to shed your dead skin cells. This process will take up to 7 days to complete, after which most of the peeling should have taken place.

Should I perform aftercare?

It’s important you don’t pick at the peeling skin and this could hinder your skin’s healing and increases the likelihood of irregular pigmentation and infection. Use lighter facial cleansers, moisturise daily, and wear broad-spectrum sun protection whenever you are exposed to the sun as your skin will be a little sensitive while it heals.

What are the benefits of the Meso-Peel?

The Meso-Peel combines a peel, dermaplaning, and microneedling to help deliver the peeling agent and growth deep beneath the skin. Dermaplaning and microneedling increase the skin’s absorption by removing surface-level skin cells and creating columns in the skin, allowing the skin peel and growth factors to penetrate deeper than they otherwise would. This is a bespoke and very effective skin treatment.
