Skin resurfacing treatment is provided via radio frequency, using our Venus Viva technology. This powerful device can transform mild and severe skin damage into fresh, unblemished skin tissue, with even pigmentation and texture.

The radio frequency waves send a signal to the body’s repair system to increase cell regeneration and stimulate collagen and elastin production levels. As a result, the affected skin receives a new surface. Specific skin concerns that can benefit from our skin resurfacing treatments include dyschromia, rosacea, enlarged pores, and deep wrinkles. Your treatment should take 15-30 minutes. The length will vary based on the size of the treatment area.

We don’t expect you to suffer major side effects but you will be advised that you may need to take a bit of downtime, for up to 48 hours afterwards.

You can expect your results to last for at least 6 months, but hopefully longer.

The device will be held close to your skin so the radio frequency waves can penetrate the skin in a painless way.

Skin redness and sensitivity occurs commonly following treatment, but serious side effects are unlikely.

For the 24 hours following treatment, you’ll need to avoid massaging the treated area, hot baths, and strenuous exercise.

  • The majority of our patients in Newmarket find that 3-4 treatments are enough to achieve impressive results. You’ll get a better idea of the number of sessions that would best suit you personally when you visit our Newmarket clinic for a skincare consultation.

  • You should leave approximately 4 weeks between treatments.

  • The treatment itself isn’t painful, although you might experience limited discomfort. The sensation on the skin afterwards has been compared to sunburn.
